Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assist and motivation to enhancing South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) companies through an engagement with the company's senior administrators in a strategic setting up session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled inside the 2024 matric examinations.
From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% on the registered pupils from the education and learning sector.
These learners reached a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates the financial commitment national government is producing within the life of very poor and vulnerable small children is yielding a beneficial effect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe said.
